Western Canada Pond Hockey Championships Announce Event Charities Calgary, AB - The Western Canada Pond Hockey Championships is pleased to announce their charities of choice for the 2018 event;

the Children’s Cottage and the Veteran’s Food Bank of Calgary. ”As the NEW Veterans Food Bank of Calgary, we are overjoyed to be chosen to be one of the recipients of this event and the proceeds will go a long way to provide a safety net for our veterans.” stated Allan Reid, President of the Veteran’s Food Bank. The event will take place December 27 - 29, 2018 on the lake in Chestermere, AB and is expected to have over 200 teams participating in all ages and levels. “We need to ensure that a portion of the funds raised go back into the community,” spoke Alex Halat, Co-Chair of the event. “Giving back to into the community is needed in we want and feel the need to help.”
